What is blockchain anchoring?

Blockchain anchoring creates an immutable, timestamped proof that a document existed in its exact form at a specific moment in time — without uploading sensitive content to any public ledger.

# SHA-256 Hashing

Your document is hashed with SHA-256, producing a unique 64-character fingerprint. Any change to the file — even a single byte — produces a completely different hash.

On-Chain Record

The hash (not your file) is written to the blockchain in a transaction. This creates a permanent, tamper-proof timestamp that anyone can independently verify.

Public Verification

Each document gets a unique public verification URL and QR code. Anyone can verify the proof without needing an account or accessing your private files.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can upload any document in PDF, DOCX, JPG, PNG, or TXT format up to 50 MB. Common use cases include legal agreements, wills, property deeds, promissory notes, invoices, certificates, and intellectual property records. EstateNexus does not review or validate the content of your documents.
Silver backing notation is a custom field that lets you associate a document with a physical silver bar or silver holding. When you purchase a Pyromet silver bar through the EstateNexus marketplace, each bar receives a unique serial number that can be recorded alongside your vault document — creating a linked record of the physical asset and its documentation. UCC-1 filing references can also be stored for secured-party creditor filings.
Each anchored document generates a unique QR code that encodes a public verification URL. Anyone who scans the QR code is taken to a public page showing the document's title, type, SHA-256 hash, blockchain transaction hash, network, and anchoring timestamp. No login is required to verify. The verification page confirms the hash was recorded on-chain — it does not expose your original file.
